Calico Town Wines is a small, family owned and operated winery. A member of The Tiny Wineries of Rutherglen, it's vineyard is situated on the southern slope of The Wicked Virgin property, small and close to the century old house, the vineyard is constantly monitored employing minimal irrigation methods to intensify flavours.

All grapes from our vineyard used in Calico Town Wines are handpicked to ensure only premium bunches of fruit are processed and leaf matter is minimised.

Calico Town age wines (where appropriate) in oak and then under cork, allowing aging in the bottle before releasing for sale. It is guaranteed you won’t find a red at Calico Town wines that was a grape last week.

The name Calico Town Wines reflects the history of the Rutherglen township, when the Goldrush brought huge numbers of folk who lived under canvas to the region. Today, The Wicked Virgin and Calico Town Wines property still has mineshafts and a poppet head that stands guard over the Cellar Door and the Olive Grove.
